The hypocrisy of healthcare
By Victor Luebker
Candidate for the 23rd Texas Congressional District
Does anyone really trust Congress can manage national health care? We have the most sanctimonious Congress of the modern era telling us what’s best for us and forcing a national plan down our throats against our will. The worst part of this is that they just don’t care what we think and are spending our kid’s money not ours to do this.
Congress can’t balance the budget, can’t run Medicare at break even, yet want to takeover 1/5th of the entire economy and tell us they can do it without adding to the national debt. How do we run a national health care program when we can’t run Medicare at break even and don’t even track the VA health expenditures?
My position is clear: Prove to us you can balance a budget, run Medicare at break even, run the US Postal Service for a profit and get us out of the worst debt any country in the history of civilization has ever faced and maybe, just maybe we can talk about giving you more of our money and trusting you to do the right thing. Until you can ensure my kids are no longer looking at $100,000 and counting daily in debt to the world you have no business asking any American for our money!
Let me stress this last point, OUR MONEY. You have looked down your nose at the great citizens of this country and put our children’s future at risk. Not only have you shown you don’t have the willingness to listen to us you have shown you don’t have the talent to manage our national treasure. We would all be grateful if you would come out in mass, apologize for this mess you’ve made and be contrite…..not sanctimonious.
